Circular Saw Crosscut Jig Plans

I think this jig is a nice idea but I don`t think it will replace my homemade track saw jig.

It works well

easy to follow instructions - please also do them in metric

It was informative enough to know what I was getting into (I’m an intermediate level carpenter) this was a perfect addition to have for a on the jobsite crosscut sled when I didn’t want to haul a table saw everywhere and I knew I was cutting lumber within the measurements of the provided sled. I would also suggest using 90degree angled steel for the side fences of the circular saw guide but I routed the wood and inset the metal to make it more flush without losing any depth on the blade. Makes great repeatable cuts and is lightweight enough!

This jig is super simple to build and very effective for what it is designed to do. It will produce cuts as smooth as a miter saw without the expense of a miter saw. Assembled in about an hour taking my time. Built it out of clean scrap from other projects, so materials do not have to be expensive.
